Show Announcement- MIKE DOUGHTY- FREE SHOW at ABC

Holding steady with our tradition of blowing your minds with an awesome free show every year to celebrate the anniversary of Harrisburg’s most diverse and unique live music venue, restaurant and micro-brewery, Appalachian Brewing Company, we are pleased to officially announce Mike Doughty as the headliner for this year’s festivities.

The show will culminate a day’s worth of celebrations including the second annual Outhouse Races and annual Keg Olympics outdoors and will begin at 9:30PM.

**UPDATE** Supporting Mike Doughty will be Tom Hamilton’s American Babies- featuring Joe Russo and Scott Metzger.

Following an intimate duo-set with bassist Andrew “Scrap” Livingston, Doughty will rock the house til’ the wee-hours with a very special and kinda-rare solo DJ Set.

All of this goodness goes down on Saturday May 31, 2008. The second-year of our outdoor stage lineup features sets from FDR’s New Deal at 2 and Slimfit from Lancaster at 5PM.
Tickets go on-sale…oh wait…there’s no tickets- ’cause this is a FREE SHOW.

Mike Doughty is a true multi-media artist: musician, songwriter, poet,
playwright, photographer, and an avid, eloquent blogger on his own website.
Doughty’s new album, GOLDEN DELICIOUS, is in stores February 19, 2008. On
GOLDEN DELICIOUS, Doughty hewed close to his “dude theory” — the idea of
making a relaxed record that sounds like a bunch of dudes playing music for
the pure joy of playing. GRAMMY winner Dan Wilson (Semisonic, Jewel, Dixie
Chicks) returned as producer.
