Oh, Bruce. How Could Ya?

File this under “The Most Disappointing Thing I’ve Heard Today”-

Bruce Springsteen has just released a twelve-song Greatest Hits record.

Which makes sense- so close to Christmas, and all.

But the bad part of this news is this: the record is available exclusively at Wal Mart.

Sure, I can sort of dig him doing the Super Bowl this year.

And okay, you’ve earned it, man. We’ll give you a pass for Magic.

But releasing another Greatest Hits and having it be a Wal Mart exclusive?

Maybe things are worse than they seem.

If even the most hardened blue-collar, for-the-people artist of all time is doing something like this.

Bah, Humbug, Mr Springsteen.

Bah, Humbug.

Your sister is right, and they could have made one of those cute red dot commercials, maybe with Bruce dressed as Santa

Walmart is everything wrong with America. And Target is everything wrong with America dressed up as your best friend.

I have to say I lost respect for the Boss long before this. Now, I would expect this from Bon Jovi but not the Boss. Then again, New Jersey gave of such ass as the Jonas Brothers an Emo favorite’s My Chemical Romance. Maybe things are worse of in Hackensack than I thought. . .

As for Wal-Mart, well the Walton family can suck it just like Trebek: Long and hard. Sorry for the lame SnL ref.

Peace on Earth and all that non-sense.

    Love Always,
