An Open Letter To John Lavenda
Dear John,
I was disappointed to read on PennLive today that you will be unable to attend tonight’s Administration Committee meeting concerning your Sports Hall of Fame project.
The article stated that you have been out of town for the past eight days and did not receive any communication regarding the invitation to the meeting.
Well, John, it’s 2:15PM- three hours before the start of the meeting- and I have to ask: what are you doing tonight?
Are you purchasing sports memorabilia?
Having drinks with The Mayor?
Is your favorite show on television?
What are you doing that’s so important that you cannot/will not attend a meeting about YOUR PROJECT?
John, I have to say- the way that you’ve handled yourself in the press lately has left many of us concerned about the authenticity and viability of this project.
You’ve been paid ninety thousand dollars per year to get this project rolling- and all we want to know is exactly where you stand with it all.
But you’re too busy?
I’ll tell you what, John. We’ll all be there tonight. If you decide to change your mind, we’ll save you a seat.
Sincerely,
Jersey Mike
I’ll sign on to this one too!
