January Inaguration: Mr. Obama, Please ask Mark Johnson of “Playing for Change” to put together a program with all the instrumentalists and singers for “Stand by Me” to perform on that evening for you. See Bill Moyers broadcast Oct. 24 for an overview. It is a perfect musical send up for your taking up the reins! It is world-wide which is as it should be. Good luck Joan Brigham

So I’m sitting in Nonna’s drinking coffee while chatting with Grace and the gang and i hear her say, “There’s Mike; Jersey Mike.” I’m thinking what the hell is a Jersey Mike. As i leave to go back to work at HACC i take copies of the Voice and Mode home with me only to later see Jersey Mike on his Jersey Bike as I leave to go home. Now I’m home, having more coffee, and I sit down to read Mode and The Voice and its…..Jersey Mike. In both freakin’ papers. So Jersey Mike, I’m renaming Sept. 10 jersey Mike Day in Harrisburg and singing It’s a Small World the next time I see you at Nonna’s.
