Guest Blog from Moe Moe

August 9th, 2008 Jersey

Remember this post a few weeks back about one of the most die-hard show-goers and rock and roll photographers I know?

I figured I’d open up the one’s and zero’s transmission to MoeMoe- and asked him to write a guest-blog for this here site focusing on the shows that he’s excited about seeing right here in our backyard-

Enjoy-
This Moemoe from www.moemoephoto.com , Jersey Mike asked me a while
back to post some good upcoming local shows that people should check
out.  There are surprisingly plenty of good shows to go to all the
time around the area.

For what is currently listed over the next few months here is just a
list of shows that i would go to if i could afford them all.  Keep in
mind this is just a small sample of what is available to me at the
time, by no means are these the only good shows around here.  Shows
are constantly being posted as they are confirmed, unfortunately press
costs money so to keep up with everything you need to constantly be
searching for new postings.  If you find more shows in the area of
your favorite local bands or national, post a reply!

I will try to keep things in the area of Harrisburg, Lancaster, State
College, and whatever catches my eye in the northern Baltimore area.

    Thanks for the Springsteen catch!

I made it to Dr. Dog, great show. They are a fantastic band from West Chester, PA that caught amazing buzz over night. Last month they were on the cover and had the feature article in Relix mag. They play a dirty rock and roll with three to four part harmonies that would make Beach Boys blush.

08-08-08 at ABC was awesome, Shackeltons were amazing as always and it was the first time seeeing Kheris which totally surprised me, I will be seeing them again! The schackeltons really have what it takes to make it big….. I hope they do.

I JUST got back from Grace Potter with Hoots And Hellmouth opening. First off, I will try REALLY hard to see Hoots again next week at Gullifty’s. They were awesome and I really recommend anyone to go see them and Mike to book them. They play a folk/blue grass and have great voices to boot. Grace Potter, well she has a voice from god, perfect female blues rock voice if I ever heard one. Played the rocking Neil Young’s “Down By The River” that shook the whole place!
