My ONLY question was why you believe I was name calling? You didn’t answer my question. I don’t see it. I actually agree with a lot of things you say, but I can also see why people would turn you off because there are a lot of negative posts. I was offering constructive criticism. I just don’t see why you chose to quote my as a example of the point you are/were trying to prove.

I’ll always defend forums, PL’s and others, in a freedom-of-speech way. However, I’m surprised at what anonymity does to people, how it strips so many of civility. But what surprises me most, on the local level to the national level, is that anyone who criticizes something, from a street festival to the War in Iraq, “becomes” the problem. Huh? Since when is “following our leaders like lemings” an American value?

Is Leon Jackson your birth name?

If so, I was only able to find two Leon Jackson’s in Harrisburg in a Google search.

One of them is what looks to be a 19 year old football player.

And the other was wanted for skipping out on parole-

Which one are you?

You see, Leon, it’s not that I dislike Harrisburg. Quite the opposite is true, actually.

I absolutely LOVE this city. I love the people. I love the food. I love the landscape. I love the architecture. I love the history. I love the proximity we have to other cities and landscapes. I love the affordability of this city. I love the potential Harrisburg possesses to be a top-notch and attractive place to live.

What I do not care for, however, is the way this place is run.

It’s crystal clear that members of the current administration- some of the people who call the shots about what happens here- are inept, shady, untrustworthy and incapable of effectively managing and running a capital city of less than fifty thousand.

If I come off as negative, it’s not because I’m a negative guy.

It’s just that I believe that this city and it’s residents are capable of SO MUCH MORE.

We all need to pull together, however, and make the necessary changes.

(Oh, by the way- this “little” blog- and all of the others like it- have far more reach than you may like to believe)
