My rule about booking tribute bands is simple: the band being paid tribute must be either a. dead or, b. so broken up that there’s no chance of them ever reuniting and playing together again.
We’ve had a Beatles tribute, a Zappa tribute, a Marley tribute…
And on Friday May 9, we’ve got Nevermind- The Ultimate Tribute to Nirvana coming to The Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company.
And trust me, with the amount of bullshit tribute/cover bands out there- it’s tough to find the really good ones.
But this, my friends, is one of the really good ones.
