In a shocking turn of events, the Newest Edition to 2nd Street appears to have been closed up before it ever had a chance to deepen it’s roots on Restaurant Row.
What began as a gaping hole surrounding a sewer grate at the corner of Second and Walnut is now patched up and pretty again; thanks, presumably, to the City of Harrisburg Maintenance Department.
Passers-by expressed their disappointment today when asked about their feelings on the asphalt-filled hole- “Man, I didn’t even get a chance to drop in there” said one Commerce Bank employee.
“Y’know, it’s a shame it went away so quickly, but this is Harrisburg- more of these are gonna pop up before we know it!” Lamented the nearest panhandler we could find. (Which was about ten feet away)
Before-

And after…

Ha ha – beautiful!
