A phone call to the Mayor’s office confirmed rumors that Mayor Reed is not currently in his office and Linda Lingle has been “Acting Mayor” for an undisclosed amount of time.

No information as to the whereabouts of the Mayor was disclosed either.

When questioned as to the reason for the Mayor’s absence and the appointment of Linda Lingle as a fill in, I was transferred to the Mayor’s Assistant- Matthew Coulter.

A voicemail left for Coulter was not returned at post time.
