Concert For Harrisburg’s Democracy

An open letter to the citizens of Harrisburg from Jason Smith-

Dear Friends,

Make no mistake about it: Mayor Reed’s “Re-Vote” for the recent Harrisburg City Council primary is designed to orchestrate a different outcome to the city’s recent primary election, not to increase the accuracy of the vote.

DENYING VOTES
By forcing a “Re-Vote,” Reed would be forcing people to vote twice, or not have their vote count at all.

NEW VOTES
A re-vote will enable Reed to inject thousands of dollars to “surge”
a Reed-friendly turnout in select areas.

FEWER CHOICES
Ultimately, even if Reed succeeds, the voters lose, because this would only limit the number of names on the November ballot, denying voters choices. After all, the entire “Reed Team” is already on the Republican ballot.

IT’S OUR LEXINGTON AND CONCORD
Mayor Reed’s latest arrogant tantrum must be met with organized resistance. This Friday, you get your chance to fight back, and fight for democracy in Harrisburg!

Please, please, please share the attached flyer with all your friends, and please bring three friends with you to the concert.

Thank you for all you do for our city.

–Jason
