What do you say to someone who’s just been proverbially outed to the nation, or quite possibly even THE WORLD, about a crooked pyramid of corruption, megalomania, deception, theft and sheer brazen abuse of power that has been methodically spun and spoon fed to a small community of people for the past twenty five years?
Because the article doesn’t downright call Reed and Co. crooks and criminals, but it certainly paints the picture.
One would think that making the front page of the Sunday New York Times would be, in some cases, a great accomplishment. Incredible stories of heroism, social service, academic achievement and lifesaving medical breakthroughs pepper the front pages of arguably the most credible and well written news publication that millions of people around the world are reading at this very moment.
But something tells me our Mayor (our same Mayor, if you recall, who was “voted” ‘Third Best Mayor in The World’ not too long ago) didn’t pick up the phone to call Mom and tell her the good news this morning.
Congratulations, Mayor Reed. Congratulations for making international headlines for your vulgar display of power abuse, crony-isms and shady spending practices.
The world is watching.

I am blown away that this was covered by the New York Times. This is serious, and we must not forget.
